Emily Purcell - In Memory of Stella

I joined Team Be The Match to raise money in memory of my sweet daughter, Stella.

Stella was born with SCID (severe combined immunodeficiency) on November 4, 2019. She would need a bone marrow transplant to give her a working immune system, and thanks to Be The Match, Stella was matched with an anonymous donor and had high probability of success. Unfortunately, she had a long struggle with chronic GVHD (graft versus host disease) following her transplant and passed away on March 14, 2021, just short of her re-birthday. 

Your gift can fund innovative research (including for GVHD, an area of the transplant/recovery process where research is lacking) to improve transplant outcomes.
